Les deux lacs reliés du Wadi El Rayan alimentent les seules véritables cascades d'Égypte — modestes à l'échelle mondiale, mais surprenantes si près du Caire. La même journée permet de découvrir le lac Magique du Fayoum, et les fossiles de baleines du Wadi Al-Hitan sont suffisamment proches pour être intégrés au programme si le temps le permet.
