What Actually Happens During a Pyramids Photoshoot
A Pyramids photoshoot hour by hour — pickup, the shoot itself, posing, outfit changes, what happens if the weather turns, and when the photos arrive.
Most people booking a photoshoot at the Pyramids have never been professionally photographed before. The uncertainty is rarely about the photographs — it is about the two hours around them. Where do we meet. What am I supposed to do with my hands. What if it is windy. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
Before the day
A deposit secures your date, and the earlier the better for sunrise and the last hour before sunset — the two windows everyone wants. You tell us where you are staying; we handle getting you there and back.
Pickup
We collect you from your hotel. Private transportation is part of the package, along with parking and road tolls, so there is no taxi to negotiate and no meeting point to find in an unfamiliar city. This is the part travelers most often assume they have to solve themselves, and it is worth checking wherever you book — arriving at Giza independently, on time, in the right place, is harder than it sounds.
The session
One to two hours at the Giza Pyramids and the Nine Pyramids View — the vantage point that gives you the pyramids in a line rather than one wall of stone filling the frame. The photographer brings all the equipment; you bring yourself and whatever you want to wear.
You do not need to know how to pose, and it is worth saying clearly that almost nobody does. The photographer directs the session throughout: where to stand, which way to face, how to move, where the light is falling. Being told what to do is the normal experience of a shoot, not a sign that it is going badly.
The most common thing people say afterwards is that they relaxed about ten minutes in. Budget the first few minutes for feeling self-conscious — everyone does, and it does not show in the photographs.
Horses, camels and video
An Arabian horse, a camel experience or a professional video Reel can be added to the session. If you want any of them, say so when you book rather than on the day — they are arranged in advance, not summoned on request. There are also two dedicated horse packages if the horse is the point rather than an extra.
What you leave with, the same day
The raw, unedited photos are yours the same day. This matters more than it sounds: it means you see what was shot while you are still in Egypt, rather than flying home and hoping. The edited gallery follows — 80+ edited pictures from the Pyramids session, with an optional larger gallery of 100+ high-resolution edited images available within five days.
There is 24-hour follow-up after the shoot, which is the window for anything that needs sorting out.
Reserve las pirámides exclusivas Photoshoot

- Bad weather — we reschedule. There is nothing to gain from spending your session in light that will not produce the photographs you came for.
- Running late — also a reschedule. A delayed flight or a slow morning is not a forfeited booking.
- Not sure what to wear — ask before the day rather than on it, and bring the outfit you feel most like yourself in.
Can it fit around a tour?
Yes, with any of our tours. Several multi-day itineraries already build a Giza photoshoot into the Pyramids day, so the photographer is part of the plan rather than a separate booking to coordinate around it.
Preguntas frecuentes
The Exclusive Pyramids Photoshoot runs one to two hours at the site, not counting the drive. Allow more of the morning or evening than the session length alone, since pickup and return are part of the day.
You do not have to. Pickup and drop-off are included, so we collect you from your hotel and bring you back afterwards.
No. The photographer directs the entire session — where to stand, how to move, where the light is. Most people booking have never been professionally photographed before.
Bring what you would like to wear and raise it when you book, so the session is planned with the time in it rather than squeezed at the end.
We reschedule in both cases. A photoshoot depends on light and timing, and neither is worth spending on a session that will disappoint you.
The raw unedited photos are yours the same day. The edited gallery of 80+ pictures follows, with an optional larger gallery of 100+ high-resolution edited images within five days.
The session itself is the short part. What makes it work is everything arranged around it — the light you booked into, the transport you did not have to think about, and someone telling you where to stand.
