How Much Does a Pyramids Photoshoot Cost?
What a Pyramids photoshoot actually costs in 2026, what changes the price, what is included, and the one thing you still pay for at the gate.
Photoshoot pricing in Egypt is quoted in ways designed to be hard to compare. One operator charges per person, another per session. One counts hours, another counts photographs. Here is what the money actually buys, and how to compare two quotes properly.
The short answer
Egypt Eye's Exclusive Pyramids Photoshoot is $75. That is a private one-to-two hour session at the Giza Pyramids and the Nine Pyramids View, delivering 80+ edited pictures, with the raw unedited photos the same day. Our six packages run from $75 to $219.
Elsewhere, the common shape is around $190 per person for roughly 20 edited images from a one-hour session, with the gallery delivered up to two weeks later. Flying dress sessions are frequently quoted from $400, and specialist rooftop sessions considerably higher.
Why “per hour” is the wrong comparison
Session length is what gets advertised, but it is not what you keep. You keep photographs. A widely used pricing ladder elsewhere runs 20 final images for one hour, 30 for two, 40 for three, 50 for four — so buying four hours quadruples the cost to roughly double the pictures.
Measured that way, the $75 session delivering 80+ edited pictures is not a cheaper version of a $190 session delivering 20. It is a different proposition. When you compare quotes, divide the price by the number of edited photographs you are promised in writing, and compare those figures instead.
Ask for two numbers before you compare anything: how many edited photographs, and what date they arrive. An operator who will not commit to both in writing has not really given you a price.
What the six packages cost
- Exclusive Pyramids Photoshoot — $75, 1–2 hours, Giza Pyramids and the Nine Pyramids View, 80+ edited pictures.
- Jumping Horse Photoshoot — $120, 1–2 hours, at the same Giza locations.
- Pyramids Proposal Romance Setup — $150, 1 hour, styled and ready before you arrive.
- Running Horse Video + Jumping Horse Photoshoot — $160, 1–2 hours, video and stills together.
- Sand Dunes Flying Dress Photoshoot — $199, 1 hour, in the dunes near Giza.
- Fayoum Flying Dress Photoshoot — $219, 1 hour, at Wadi El Rayan and the Magic Lake.
What moves the price
- The type of shoot. A flying dress session costs more than a standard portrait session because the dress, the styling and the location all come with it.
- Add-ons. An Arabian horse, a camel experience, a professional video Reel or a group photoshoot are each priced on top of the base package.
- Location. Fayoum costs more than Giza — it is a longer drive to Wadi El Rayan and the Magic Lake, and the day is built around getting there.
- How many photographs you want edited. The standard Pyramids gallery is 80+; an optional larger gallery of 100+ high-resolution edited images is available within five days.
What is included
For the Pyramids session: a private professional photographer, professional camera equipment, private transportation with hotel pickup and drop-off, parking and road tolls, your 80+ edited pictures, and 24-hour follow-up afterwards. Transport being inside the price rather than beside it matters more than it sounds — getting to Giza and back is otherwise a negotiation every time.
What is not included
Site entrance tickets. You buy those at the gate, and they are the only cost to expect on the day beyond the package itself. It is worth asking any operator this question directly, because it is the one most often left unsaid until you are standing at the ticket window.
How you actually pay
A deposit secures your date. The balance is paid the same day, after the photoshoot, in cash or by transfer. You pay most of it having already seen what was shot — which is a reasonable thing to expect, and worth asking for wherever you book.

Sometimes. The risk at the bottom of the market is not usually the photography — it is everything around it: no agreement about what you receive, no transport, no one to contact when the gallery does not arrive. What protects you is not paying more. It is getting the photo count, the delivery date and the inclusions in writing before you pay a deposit.
